Colin M | April 4, 2009 | 6:34 pmA quick thanks to the very responsive and helpful support folks at Dreamhost for fixing up my DNS settings to bring this site back online very shortly after I reported it was down.
And apologies to readers for not noticing for a while… I haven’t had much to say lately, so I haven’t been visiting my own site that often either.
What broke? DNS isn’t the type of thing that normally goes awry…
Seems that the IP of my vhost was changed, but my DNS records were not updated to reflect that. Since Dreamhost does my DNS as well as my hosting, they missed an update along the way to one of the static records that I don’t have control over.
