The Spark Between

We haven’t seen clouds at our apartment in like 2 or 3 weeks. Seriously. Like, it’s photo-worthy.

“Ladies and gentlemen, at this time we are told there is an accident on the train ahead of us. There has been a collision with a car. We are instructed to hold here and await further direction. At this time we do not know how long the delay will be.”

The weather in Silicon Valley is boring… it’s perfect every single day! If only work could be outside, and I could be immune to sunburn.

I reformatted my Mac last night. All I have installed since then is Starcraft, Adium, and Firefox, in that order. Perhaps tonight I shall search for an email client. Does anyone know of any good themes for Thunderbird? I was kindof getting tired of the default theme right before I wiped this thing…

So anyway, I haven’t posted on here in quite some time. In the meantime, here’s what I have done:

• Work at NVIDIA
• Hang out with Jeni & Jason
• Take a trip to San Diego & Tijuana, Mexico
• Work some more

And that’s pretty much it. Nothing too glamorous, I am afraid…

Can you tell I don’t have much more exciting things to do whhle traveling? Grandma remembers flying a plane with “a red tail” to Japan, all those years ago.

They have automatic soap dispensers in the bathrooms. Wow. Does that even solve a sanitation problem?

Well, my whirlwind weekend trip to Minocqua for Tracy and Sean’s wedding is coming to a close. I’m back in Austin Straubel airport to fly back to San Francisco via Minneapolis. (I know I talk about planes and airports a lot; I apologize. I just think they’re awesome for some reason.) So anyway, Tracy and Sean had a really nice wedding, and it was great to catch up with my relatives again, too. The picture here is the pretty cool party favor they gave out: Custom printed M&Ms that had “Tracy and Sean” and “Thanks 2007″ printed on the whhte ones. Well, we’re starting to board…

The sign says: Grande Coffee Frappuccino: $3.99, Lemon Poppyseed Muffin: $2.29. But the truth is: All that you see here can be yours for $3.83. At the airport, no less. True story.

TSA regulations forbid bringing liquids or gels in containers larger than 3 oz through the security checkpoint. “Either drink them and get your money’s worth or throw them out.” The airport in-terminal bottled beverage industry is overjoyed.
